University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
I am not teaching in Summer 2025. In Fall 2025, I will likely be teaching a new offering of AE 498 ARM/ARO – Advanced Review of Basic Mathematics, meeting on Mondays and Wednesdays 2-3:20pm in 403B2 Engineering Hall. A tentative syllabus and course outline is available here.
In addition to my core instruction duties, I am involved in two current projects on teaching innovation. I am the Principal Investigator of the Artificially Successful? Investigating and Responding to Generative AI’s Capability to Solve Course Assignments project and a Co-Principal Investigator on the Computational Tools for Dynamics and Control project, both funded by the University’s Strategic Instructional Innovations Program. I was also the Principal Investigator for the recently completed Grade-GPT: Investigating the Success of ChatGPT at Completing Course Assignments project funded by the University’s Grants for Advancement of Teaching in Engineering program.
I am always happy to receive anonymous, or signed, feedback about my teaching. I am grateful for any comments and will do my best to consider incorporating them into my classes.
